> Technical day "Cadmium"

As in the previous technical days, the morning was dedicated to more scientific aspects (geochemistry, toxicology, impact, analysis) and the afternoon to practical problems encountered in economic activities (recycling batteries and accumulators, cadmium in the manufacture of Ni-Cd batteries, cadmium in the pigment and cadmium plating industry).

>The soil : memory, sieve or dump ?

On 3 July 2003, the "Café Scientifique" organised by Henri Poincaré University at the "Léz'art" was dedicated to the soil, within the framework of the CNRS Research Film Festival. GISFI attended and was well represented.

> Visit to Homécourt site by the elected representatives of the Meurthe et Moselle County Council, on 13 February 2003
Within the framework of a working day designed to highlight the advantages of the Pays-Haut region and the innovative projects under way there, the Meurthe-et-Moselle County Council visited the Environment Engineering Centre workshop-site at Homécourt, on the industrial wasteland originally by the old coking plant. At the head of a delegation of County Councillors and heads of department, the Chairman was able to view the works, organised jointly by ARCELOR Real Estate France and the GISFI.
